Advantages of clamp binders

Clamp binding is one of the simplest binding methods. It can be carried out manually and requires no special knowledge or tools. Even the paper does not need to be punched in advance. Due to their low purchase price and the fact that they can be reused, plastic rails are a cost-effective way of binding paper. Another advantage of the clamp binding rail is its user-friendliness: the binding can be undone and re-done at any time. The user of the finished bound document can flexibly remove, add, reorder and edit individual pages. This is why clamp rails are particularly popular for temporary bindings: they are ideal for documents that need to be updated or replaced frequently (e.g. menus, promotional materials, application forms, price lists, product catalogues).

Types of clamp rails

In addition to the standard paper clamping rails (Standard clamping rails), SPRINTIS also stocks self-adhesive clamping rails in its range. These have an adhesive strip on the back, allowing them to be fixed to a solid surface (e.g. a clipboard, a glass window). Self-adhesive clamping rails are very useful when, for example, a menu needs to be mounted in a folder or an advertising material in a shop window. Oversized clamping rails are suitable for attaching large posters, billboards or site plans to the wall. Clamp rails with a filing tab are designed for archiving. The filing tab allows you to neatly file your finished bound documents (e.g. in a ring binder).

By choosing a suitable colour, you can categorise or personalise your bound document and match its appearance to its content. Our clips are available in two different capacities: depending on the thickness of your bound document, you can choose between 3–4 mm and 5–6 mm. The self-adhesive paper clips are also available in a very thin version with a capacity of 1 mm, ideal for single sheets. The thickness determines how many sheets of paper your clamp strip can hold. As a general rule, the greater the thickness, the higher the number of sheets. Our clamping rails are available in three lengths, based on the DIN A5, DIN A4 and DIN A3 paper sizes.
