Our PLA bags offer a perfect alternative to conventional plastic bags. Made from PLA, polylactic acids, a bio-based plastic obtained from renewable raw materials such as corn starch or sugar, these bags are ideal for an alternative packaging solution.
The bags are certified according to DIN EN 13432. This means that they are industrially compostable and biodegradable, i.e. they are designed to biodegrade in an industrial compost under controlled conditions (specific temperature and humidity conditions) within six months. The PLA bag should therefore be disposed of in the organic waste bin. It is not suitable for home composting or for the recycling bag/bin.
