The set magnetic tape with counterpart consists of a roll of magnetic adhesive tape type A + a roll of magnetic adhesive tape type B.
Magnetic tape A and B can be used to quickly and easily provide non-magnetic objects with a surface suitable for use with magnets. For example, customised adhesive magnets can be produced. At the POS or in trade fair construction, the magnetic tapes with counterpart can be used to precisely attach printed parts to pop-up displays or to attach interchangeable signs.
The magnetic adhesive tapes can be cut to the requested length in just a few seconds using normal scissors. Then simply peel off the backing paper or protective film to expose the self-adhesive side and stick the magnetic tape to the desired surface.
The standard adhesive is a pressure-sensitive, high-tack acrylic adhesive (PSA) on a non-woven paper backing for indoor use at room temperature. It consists of modified solvent-based acrylic, which is particularly suitable for flat paper or cardboard surfaces.
The premium adhesive is a general purpose, high-tack acrylic adhesive on a PET backing that is resistant to plasticisers and heat and creates a more robust bond than the standard adhesive. The pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) consists of modified solvent-based acrylic and is characterised in particular by the fact that it also adheres reliably to difficult surfaces such as low-energy plastic, Foamex, PVC, acrylic and painted or powder-coated surfaces. It is therefore ideal for demanding applications in display, trade fair and shop fitting.
Thanks to the uneven number of poles and opposite pole magnetisation of the two types, these magnetic tapes type A (with groove on the magnetic side) and type B (without groove on the magnetic side) attract each other precisely fitting without offset. Ideal for use in pairs.
Note: Magnetic foils and magnetic tapes are not suitable as a surface for magnets (e.g. office or neodymium magnets), as they can lose their magnetisation in close presence of magnets. Our iron foils (also known as ferrofoils) and metal tapes are preferably suitable as an adhesive surface for magnets.
