Depending on the type, these flat wire staples are suitable for paper and cardboard, as well as for applications involving leather, textiles, plastic and wood. The staples are compatible with NAGEL machines, including Multinak, Rinak, Enak, Foldnak and Tak, as well as with numerous other compatible stapling machines.

Two specifications are essential for making the right choice: The first number indicates the wire diameter, the second indicates the staple leg length in millimetres.

Example: Type 24/10S:

Wire diameter and type: Type 24 corresponds to a wire diameter of approximately 0.6 mm or a staple crown width of 12.8 mm.
Staple leg length: 10 mm, ideal for thicker brochures, stacks of paper, cardboard or textiles.
Suffix “S”: The “S” indicates a particularly hard steel grade or high-strength steel wire, helping prevent the staple legs from bending when stapling dense materials.

As a general rule, the staple leg length should be approximately 4 mm longer than the thickness of the material being stapled.

Overview of staple types:

Type 24 features a wire diameter of 0.60 mm, a staple crown width of 12.8 mm and is available with staple leg lengths from 6 to 18 mm.
Type 26 features a thinner 0.45 mm wire with staple leg lengths of 6 to 8 mm.
Type 50 features a wire diameter of 0.75 mm and leg lengths of 6 to 30 mm and is designed for more demanding stapling applications.
