Eyelet binding is a special form of binding in which small metal rings are punched into perforated paper. In comparison to wire and plastic binding, the result is permanent. Binding with eyeletting machines provides stable and long-lasting booklets. Eyelets can be used in paper, card, plastic and textiles. Documents created with eyeletting machines are particularly long-lasting and sturdy. The reduced look of the binding emphasises the professional aesthetics of the binding product and allows the document itself to come to the fore. Eyelets can be applied with an eyeletting pliers or an eyeletting machine, whereby eyeletting machines can gather a higher number of sheets and process them precisely. Function of eyeletting machines
Manual eyelet punches can be operated safely and easily with a lever. The paper is loaded into the paper press, aligned and punched using a centring aid. You can then insert the eyelets into the punch holes and operate the lever a second time. The pressure of the lever punches the eyelets through the holes until they spread out on the back of the paper. The document pages are now securely connected and can no longer be separated from each other. If you have placed the paper in an eyelet folder in advance, you also have the practical option of filing the finished document (e.g. in a file folder).
