Why is the use of self-adhesive paper pockets recommended?
With EcologiQ products, such as the self-adhesive paper pockets, you increase your competitiveness and add an environmentally friendly option to your product range. In addition to the expansion of your product range and ecological awareness, there are also advantages in terms of disposal.
What is so ecologically or environmentally about self-adhesive paper pockets?
The self-adhesive pockets are constructed as follows: The transparent upper material together with the lower material forms the slide-in/insert compartment; the adhesive applied to the back of the lower material is protected with a cover paper (silicone paper). The upper and lower material is made of the renewable raw material wood and is therefore much more ecological than the traditionally used plastic pockets. These papers are FSC-certified. The adhesive is a water-based dispersion adhesive, which is significantly more ecological in its composition and therefore „better“ for the environment than a solvent-based adhesive.
How can the paper self-adhesive pockets be recycled or disposed of?
The paper self-adhesive pockets are completely recyclable once the cover paper has been removed. If the paper pockets are used in combination with environmentally friendly carrier products, such as cardboard workbooks, they can be fed into the recycling cycle easily and simply without prior separation. In principle, products made of the renewable raw material wood have advantages in their ecological balance compared to conventional products made of foil, as these can reach the oceans via the groundwater cycle.
